Nook Workshop News - April 2016.

It's already the middle of April and what a busy start to the year we've had already with Jane Means in residence with her beautiful gift wrapping workshop......between you & me she is coming back next year....ssshhh!! . This was such a special day, and Jane's professionalism, creativity and the odd little story about famous names & places really kept us all entertained.
....and if you were lucky enough to catch Wendy Boonstra (our favourite Dutch girl from Monaghan) a few weeks back with her pop up shop @ Nook you will no doubt remember her jewellery making demo - well great news!! Wendy will be back @ Nook at the end of May for a full day Jewellery making workshop....keep an eye on the webshop www.nookhome.ie and on the facebook page nookhome.ie for further details on that.
Now a little something more rustic for those of you who love to get back to nature.....our Basket Weaving workshop is only 1 week away. Spend your day @ Nook under the tuition of Master Craftsman Andrew Carroll learning the craft of basket weaving using Irish grown willow and create your own bread basket. This full day workshop has very limited places but there are still a couple of places available so head over to the webshop at NookHome.ie if you would like to book and find out more about the day.
I am fully booked up for my full day Up-cycling Workshop on Saturday 30th April but for those of you who missed out on a place not to worry as I am going to run this one on a week day (or 2!!) in May.....this is the workshop where you bring along your own piece to be transformed and bring it home to show off to all those who thought that the old chair which had sat on the landing for the past 26 years was only fit for the skip.....ah yes let's proove them wrong!!
So apart from Paint Laugh Create - Decoupage For Beginners & Creative Painting there's really not much else happening @ Nook this month...
